Full course description
Course Overview: This course provides an introduction to the exciting arena of English and gives you a chance to delve into some of the areas our students study on our English degree course here at Ulster University. The course will introduce you to the biographical and historical contexts of John Donne's poetry and learn about the meaning, tone and significance of a number of Donne's 'Songs and Sonnets' and one of his Holy Sonnets. You will also get a taste of how literary texts are approached in a university context.
