Course Overview: This course provides an introduction to the exciting arena of English, introducing you to the literary-historical context in which Geoffrey Chaucer wrote the Canterbury Tales and give you an understanding of the structure of the Canterbury Tales, and the place occupied in the text by 'The Wife of Bath's Prologue and Tale'.
The course offers a critical reading of the text to help you identify the issues the text raises and the key messages it conveys.
